Detrick T. Johnson Sr. (a.k.a. Pastor D) (Pastor of Abundance of Grace Christian Church) is formerly Associate Pastor at Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS.  He worked very hard and was dedicated to the members at Anderson.  Pastor D is a spirit filled man of God who has always had a deep love and sense of compassion for people.  He is a humble man who often says “when it’s all said and done, the one thing that I want people to remember or know about me is that I am a humble man”.  Pastor D greets as many people as possible with a warm hug and a kind word.  He visits the sick and privately counsels members of his church family. 

Pastor D accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at a very early age. He loves God and often states, no one or nothing comes before the Lord.  He was raised by his dad and mom (the late Joe Johnson, Sr. and Margaret Johnson) growing up in a home on Marion Dunbar Street in Jackson, MS with 9 older brothers and sisters. 

Pastor D was licensed and ordained to preach as a United Methodist minister in 2005 and received his license and ordained as a Baptist minister in 2013.

Pastor D is married to Karen B Johnson and they have three children Detrick Jr., Kaylan and Isaiah.
